Southern Area Christian League vs. Thames Valley Church Football League

The league committee have organised a great opportunity for us to play a league representational match against the Southern Area Christian League at the beginning of February. This squad will be selected by each team in the league providing a single player and another 5 being individually invited to join the squad by myself (Brookside), who will be managing the team on the day, and Jonathan Horne (Kerith) who will be assistant manager. We may ask teams to nominate players in a staged fashion so that we can ensure that we don't end up in a situation of having 4 goalkeepers or the like.
Although further information regarding this match will be added over the coming month, there are a few selection policies that I would like to communicate with the league now.
1) Each of the 11 teams in the league will put forward 1 player who will start the match.
2) Another 5 players will be selected by Jonathan Horne and myself to balance the squad but no more than 2 players from any one team will be included.
3) As the match is a 45 minute drive, we will endeavour to give each player at least 30 minutes of playing time.
4) Teams should select players based on both their attitude and ability. We want this match to be played in the correct spirit but also competitive.
5) No player with a red card (either straight or two yellows) in the 12 months previous to the match can be considered.
